The AVICOD S.A. is located in the middle of Romania, in Brasov county’s Codlea. It has three growing farms and owns a fully functional slaughterhouse.
The yearly slaughtering capacity in Codlea is currently 6 million head / year, but in the following years this capacity is planned to grow, due to new investments made in the slaughterhouse and farms also.
Avicod has it’s own national brand, used from 2002, which is called “Puisorul Avicod” (Avicod chick). Starting from 2022, Avicod launched a new, regional brand, called “Szekely Csurke” (Sekler Chicken), which has a growing demand in Romania and abroad also.
