Investment Analyst

Hodler Alapkezelő Zrt. is a young and developing private equity firm focused on the broader food and agriculture sector in Central Europe. We manage three funds with around EUR 500 million committed capital to invest in majority or controlling minority buy-outs. We seek above industry average returns through benefiting from both vertical and horizontal consolidation play in the CE market.

You are an ideal fit for us if you possess the following skills, competencies and attitude:
- outstanding interpersonal skills especially in the context of a regional role, but also from the angle of dealing with different types of stakeholders (CEOs, CFOs, entrepreneurs, advisors, farmers, engineers, lawyers, bankers)
- you are highly motivated with ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
- resilience and tolerance for failure, down to earth mentality
- commercial acumen with appropriate attention to detail
- excellent Excel and presentation skills
- driving license and willingness to travel in the region
- master’s in finance, economics or business administration from a reputable university
- professional communication skill in English is a must, additional CE language is a plus
- maximum 2 years of experience (this is a beginner role, so no major experience is required)
As an analyst you will be required to perform the following tasks:
- analyzing investment opportunities in the CE region
- preparation of internal decision-making materials (investment committee materials, financial models, memos, other ad hoc industry analysis, research, due diligence)
- participation in analysis and controlling of portfolio companies, regular portfolio reports
- site visits and regular liaising with mid and top-level management of portfolio companies, prospective targets and advisors
- work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality
- ensure projects are documented, organized, and available for review at any time by management
